Licence Entitlements

Provisional Licence 16 yrs :-

At 16 years of age, your provisional licence enables you to ride a moped (49cc) You must have L plates, not carry passengers and have a valid CBT certificate.

Provisional Licence 17 yrs and over :-

This will enable you to ride a motorcycle not exceeding 125cc providing you have the provisional motorcycle entitlement ( Category A ) You must have L plates , not carry passengers and have a valid CBT certificate.

Full Car Licence :-

Enables you to ride a motorcycle not exceeding 125cc with  L plates providing you have the provisional motorcycle entitlement (category A ) You must have L plates, not carry passengers and have a valid CBT certificate. A full car licence gives you a full moped (49cc) entitlement although anyone passing their driving test after 01.02.2001 must complete the CBT course.
